Cheers Debbie, yup they all keep me busy. It's lovely when we do all get together but thats not too often these days. 2 of my children live in England. They didnt settle when i moved up here.

I have survived one lot for my eldest daughter, one lot for my ex-husband and his wife to be... on my 3rd lot now eeeek for my eldest Son.

Some ideas for cheap wedding favours wouldnt go a miss if anyone has any ideas.My Son doesnt really have a great deal of spare cash so I am trying to do as much as I can for the wedding as far as the arty stuff is concerned.

Oooh I have a couple of favour boxes on my blog that I altered for a challenge. http://gezzybscraftybits.blogspot.com/2009/07/rosiedees-challenge.html

You only need to find a template or buy one box like I did. Carefully cut it open & use it as a template. You can then make them to suit any colour scheme. I always think the little net bags tied with ribbon look fabulous.

Wow Gez, they are amazing. where did you get the template from. I really like the one on the left and the wee flowers are great. Looks like its even got a Scottish theme too which is just what I wanted. I have made a box but its just square and pretty plain. Your designs look brilliant though.

If you want another idea Dee, when my brother got married a couple of years ago (I did all their wedding stationary too - see my gallery on Flickr.) they had gingerbread heart cookies with pink icing with the guest's name on it - it doubled up as a place setting and a favour. It was such cute and original idea.

Did you make the cookies yourself? I would be worried they went stale on the day. I have made some christmas boxes for my table, thought it would be a nice change from christmas crackers. The brides mum wants that style. I would have liked to have done something more challenging. I will have to make some trials, try and change her mind.

Hi Dee, and welcome to the forum. Well done you for doing all the wedding stationary. For my bridesmaids wedding her mother in law made little lavendar bags for everyone with a little cross-stitch image on it. Very cute and nice to remember everyone. The lavendar came out of her garden so was free.
