1 PIF Recipe Cards on Thu Mar 04, 2010 11:45 am

This is really simple and great fun as well

Cards are made to be 5inch X 3inch you decorate the cards as you like on both sides and add your recipe as well.
First person eg me offers 3 recipes. the next person chooses one recipe card they they want and offers 3 recipes again for someone else to choose from and on it goes.
here is an example of a recipe card I have made.

No real time limit to doing things and you get some new recipes to try as well. I use recipes that I know work and are easy to do. Share your fav recipes with friends so they can have a new recipe to add to their family favs.

What do you think would it be worth giving this a go or not. I won't be offended if it is not I just thought it would be a nice idea

Nice idea. Can I make sure that I understand. You offer 3 recipe cards (presumably shown on the forum) and then the next person choses one, makes three to offer and then the next person choses one of those three etc. Am I right? Or do you just say three recipes (e.g. Chocolate cheesecake, American Cookies, Flapjack) and the person choses one of the recipes and you decorate a card for that person.

Thats right I offer 3 recipes that I put up on the forum eg

Grilled Veggie Macaroni
Baked Spaghetti
Creamy Tarragon Chicken

You decide you want lets say Baked Spaghetti and offer your selection of 3 recipes.
You PM me your request for the Baked Spaghetti along with your name and addy. I make the card for you and post it off.

Someone chooses a recipe you have posted up and offers their selection of recipes to choose from
You make the recipe card for them and post it off.

I have sometimes made the cards first as any that are not taken I keep for myself. As long as you send the card off to the person wanting your recipe you can make it before they ask or after, it is up to you. I store mine in a file box for 5x3inch index cards I got from Smiths newsagents they are perfect and easy to keep to hand in the kitchen as well.
